Hanoi Arrival Day
We got on a plane after a ten hour delay at the Dong Hoi airport. It was a turbo-prop plane my first ever!
When we got to Hanoi I was so sleepy. I fell asleep as soon as we got home.
We stayed in a apartment building called Royal City. There was a mall right below us! It was called Royal City Mega Mall.
The first day we just kind of lounged around and saw what was around.
The second day we ice skated in the mall. I really liked that, and it was entirely empty.
The third day we went on a walking tour of the Old Quarter and the French Quarter. It was super fun and not too long.
The forth day we went to the water puppet show. I would not recommend it. It was kinda cool looking, but from a kid’s perspective, it was hard to see and just kind of… boring.
The fifth day we went and did the night market. It was just a bunch of tourist stores selling items, so don’t go expecting to eat. I ate a “hotdog” that the internet will close down this page if I told you what it tasted like.
The sixth day we walked around and got a on a little bicycle thing.
We rode over to the Hanoi Hilton. That’s a jail where the French used it against the Vietnamese and then the Vietnamese used it against the Americans. It was pretty interesting. I would not recommend it to 12 and under, due to the fact it had a lot of torture and violent and gross things in it.. It had a lot of propaganda as well.
The seventh and eighth day we just hung out and walked in the mall.
